Abstract:
An image recorder in which open/close response of a shutter is enhanced and the cost
is reduced by reducing the size and weight of a curing unit while suppressing deterioration
in image quality. The image recorder comprises a recording head for ejecting
a photocuring ink, which cures with irradiation of light, onto a recording medium,
and a unit for irradiating the ink ejected from the recording head with light.
The light irradiating unit comprises a light source for irradiating light, and
a light guide member interposed between the recording medium and the light source,
and the light guide member is arranged to turn about the axis.
