Abstract:
The present invention reduces unevenness in luminance due to a difference in luminance between captured images in a joint portion of a synthetic image, and provides an easily recognizable synthetic image. An image synthesis device 100 is provided with an image processing unit 200, a storage device 210, an input interface 220, an output interface 230, and a reference region setting unit 240. The image processing unit 200 is provided with a distortion correction unit 110, a luminance adjustment unit 120, and an image synthesis unit 130. The image synthesis device 100 sets a reference region in a portion within a plurality of captured images by the reference region setting unit 240, and adjusts the luminances of the plurality of captured images by the luminance adjustment unit 120 such that the luminance of the reference region does not exceed a predetermined threshold value.
