Disclosed is an image transmission device provided with: a moving image compression unit (102) for encoding a composite image in which a regular moving image and an additional-information moving image are arranged in one frame; a regular moving image region encoding unit (104) for encoding region information indicating the region for the regular image; an additional-information moving image presence information encoding unit (106) for encoding presence information indicating the presence of the additional-information moving image; and a transmission unit for transmitting the encoded composite image, region information, and presence information.
