Abstract:
Provided is an imaging apparatus which indicates suitable tilt guide in accordance with an aspect ratio and the like of a photographing image. The imaging apparatus is provided with a tilt detecting means for detecting a tilt of the imaging apparatus; an indicating means which can indicate the tilt guide in accordance with the detection output from the tilt detecting means by superimposing the indication onto the photographing image; an aspect ratio setting means for setting the aspect ratio of the photographing image; and an indication control means for controlling whether to indicate the tilt guide or not, based on the aspect ratio set by the aspect ratio setting means. The indication control means changes an indication angle of the tilt guide in accordance with the aspect ratio.
