Abstract:
In order to make it possible for a user to easily recognize an imaging subject to be prioritized, a focusing-subject selection unit selects a region on which to focus, as the focusing-subject region, from among a plurality of first focal-point-detection regions, the focal points of which were detected by a first focal-point-detection unit, on the basis of the focal-point detection results in the first focal-point detection regions. In addition, when focusing on the focusing-subject region, a display-region selection unit selects a display region from among the focusing-subject region and a plurality of second focal-point-detection regions, the focal points of which were detected by a second focal-point-detection unit, on the basis of the focal-point detection results in the plurality of second focal-point detection regions. The display control unit displays the display region on a display unit.
