Abstract:
This imaging device comprises: a suppression unit which moves an anti-vibration element including an imaging element and/or an anti-vibration lens provided within an imaging lens attached to a main body of the imaging device to a position determined according to a result of detection by a detection unit for detecting vibration applied to the device, thereby suppressing the influence of the vibration on a subject image; and a control unit which performs, with respect to a display unit, control for displaying the subject image as a moving image, and performs, with respect to the suppression unit, control for centering the anti-vibration element while a visual recognition failure phenomenon that has been previously determined as a phenomenon capable of hindering visual recognition of the deviation of an angle of view due to centering of the anti-vibration element is occurring in a state in which an operation of displaying the moving image by the display unit and an operation of suppressing the influence by the suppression unit are being performed.
