Abstract:
An imaging device which comprises: a light receiving unit for generating an electric signal according to the brightness of an object; an amplification unit for amplifying a light reception signal; a plurality of storage units for storing an amplified electric signal as a current signal; a load unit for converting the current output of each storage unit into a voltage; an operation unit for operating the output signal of the load unit; an output unit for outputting the operation result to the outside; and a drive control unit for controlling the drive of each unit. A reference signal level, as stored in one storage unit, and the brightness of the object, as stored in another storage unit while being integrated with respect to time, are compared to each other so that the brightness of the object is subjected to an AD conversion on the basis of the time during which the brightness signal exceeds the reference signal.
