Abstract:
The imaging device that is one embodiment of the present disclosures is provided with: an imaging optical system; an imaging element wherein first pixels that receive light at a partial region that is skewed in a predetermined direction from the light axis of the light beam that passes through the exit pupil of the aforementioned imaging optical system, and second pixels that are disposed adjacent to the aforementioned first pixels and that receive light at a partial region that is skewed in the opposite direction from the aforementioned predetermined direction from the light axis of the light beam that passes through the aforementioned exit pupil of the aforementioned imaging optical system are arrayed two-dimensionally; an imaging element driving unit that mixes the signal charges of a first number of adjacent pixels for each of the aforementioned first pixels and the aforementioned second pixels, and reads the mixture as a voltage signal; an average calculation unit that calculates the average of a second number of adjacent voltage signals for each voltage signal of the aforementioned first pixels and the aforementioned second pixels mixed and read by the aforementioned imaging element driving unit; and an automatic focus-adjusting unit that detects the phase difference between the voltage signals of the averaged aforementioned first pixels and aforementioned second pixels, and that automatically adjusts the focus of the aforementioned imaging optical system on the basis of said phase difference.
