The present invention facilitates arrangement of an actuator used for driving focus, etc., around a lens frame by firmly integrating a lens, a diaphragm, and the like. This imaging optical apparatus is provided with: a thin blade-housing member that houses a blade member for limiting an opening and that has an insertion part having the opening; an actuator that slides the blade member; a housing frame that houses the actuator and the blade housing member excluding the insertion part, and that is provided with, at an outer edge, a recessed lens frame holding part from which the insertion part projects; a lens frame that is held by the lens frame holding part and that has an insertion hole through which the insertion part is inserted so that the center of the opening becomes coaxial to the optical axis; and a pinching member that, as a result of being bound to the housing frame, pinches the lens frame held by the lens frame holding part cooperatively with the housing frame.
