Title:
IMAGING OPTICAL SYSTEM, IMAGING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/171969
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention is related to an imaging optical system that performs image formation for imaging for infrared and terahertz waves in particular, and provides for preventing a drop in image formation performance while providing for cost reduction. The invention is an imaging optical system: provided with a first lens (11) provided near an aperture diaphragm (10) and responsible for aberration correction, and provided with a second lens (12) placed between the first lens (11) and an imaging element, and responsible for light condensation; and in which the first lens (11) is a gradient index lens. The gradient index lens has a higher design degree of freedom than a lens with a uniform refractive index, and has high potential as an element for a lens. By using this type of gradient index lens, aberration correction can be achieved without performing high-cost processing such as polishing, for example. By means of this structure, it is possible to provide for preventing the drop in image formation performance, while providing for the cost reduction.
