Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an immunochromatographic test strip and a detection method using immunochromatography, whereby, in the case of using polybrene as a blood coagulating agent and a gold colloid conjugate as a detection reagent, red blood cells in the whole blood are agglutinated and then separated and removed while avoiding the aggregation of the gold colloid. To solve the aforesaid problem, the inventors re-evaluated the conventional constitutions of reagents per se and earnestly examined the individual constituent elements from a viewpoint completely different from the idea of appropriately determining the kind or amount of a polyanion. As a result, the inventors surprisingly found that, by using a specific buffer solution, the aggregation of the gold colloid can be prevented without neutralizing the polyanion.
