A sterilization apparatus and method for automatically transporting a plurality of ophthalmic lenses packages containing ophthalmic lenses to be sterilized through an in-line apparatus, without off-loading packages from the line, for transport through a sterilizer under optimum conditions of temperature and time for enabling increased throughput.
