Abstract:
Provided is an in-vehicle device that is capable of notifying a driver of the likelihood of suffering road rage prior to the occurrence of road rage behavior. This in-vehicle device 100 comprises: a state detection unit 133 which determines whether or not a host vehicle 5 is in a specific state that could pose a risk to other vehicles around the host vehicle 5; an image acquisition unit 135 which, in the case when occurrence of the specific state is determined, acquires an image captured of the surroundings of the host vehicle 5 at the time of the occurrence; a distance acquisition unit 136 which acquires distance information indicative of the distances to the other vehicles around the host vehicle 5; a target vehicle detection unit 137 which, in the case when the distance to any of the other vehicles indicated by the distance information is detected to be equal to or less than a set value, detects said vehicle from the image captured at the time of the occurrence; and a notification control unit 138 which, in the case when said vehicle has been detected by the target vehicle detection unit 137, causes a display unit 80 or an audio output unit 90 mounted in the host vehicle 5 to execute a first notification action.
