Abstract:
An in-wheel motor drive device (21) equipped with: a motor unit (A); a wheel hub bearing unit (C); a speed reduction unit (B) that reduces and then transmits the output rotational speed of the motor unit to the wheel hub bearing unit; and a lubricating oil circuit that enables lubricating oil to flow in the interior of the speed reduction unit. The lubricating oil circuit has: a lubricating oil tank (53); oil supply paths (58a, 58b, 59a, 59b, 60g, 60h) that supply lubricating oil from the lubricating oil tank to the speed reduction unit; oil discharge paths (61, 62) that discharge lubricating oil from the speed reduction unit to the lubricating oil tank; and a temperature sensor (63) that is arranged in the oil discharge paths or in the lubricating oil tank, and that detects the temperature of the lubricating oil.
