Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an in-wheel motor drive device with which unique information such as the origin point information for a motor unit (10) can be input reliably to a program for an inverter, and with which the input operation can be simplified. A terminal box (72) is installed on a casing (11) for a motor unit (10) of an in-wheel motor drive device, and a semiconductor memory (73) is provided in this terminal box (72) as a recording medium that records unique information for the motor unit (10), including at least parameter information required for driving of the motor unit (10). By enabling unique information such as the origin point information for the motor unit (10) to be read directly into an inverter from the semiconductor memory (73) the operation of inputting the information into the inverter program can be performed reliably and simply.
