Abstract:

The purpose of the invention is to provide an in-wheel motor capable of reducing energy loss. An electric vehicle driving device (10) comprises a first motor (11), a second motor (12), a gear-shifting mechanism (13), a deceleration mechanism (40) and a clutch device (60). A first planetary gear mechanism (20) of the gear-shifting mechanism (13) is a single pinion planetary gear device. A second planetary gear mechanism (30) of the gear-shifting mechanism (13) is a double pinion planetary gear device. The electric vehicle driving device (10) can be operated, switching between a first gear-shifting state in which the magnitudes of the torques of the first motor (11) and the second motor (12) are equal and the torques are in opposite directions and a second gear-shifting state in which the magnitudes and directions of the torques are the same.
