Abstract:
An inattentiveness determination device comprises an image acquisition unit (11) that acquires a captured image of the face of an occupant in a vehicle, a line-of-sight detection unit (12) that detects the direction of the occupant's line of sight on the basis of the captured image acquired by the image acquisition unit (11), an inattentiveness provisional determination unit (14) that makes a provisional determination as to whether or not the occupant is inattentive on the basis of the direction of the occupant's line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detection unit (12), a line-of-sight correctness determination unit (15, 15a) that determines whether the direction of the occupant's line-of-sight detected by the line-of-sight detection unit (12) is correct when the inattentiveness provisional determination unit (14) has provisionally determined that the occupant is inattentive downward, and an inattentiveness determination unit (16) that determines that the occupant is not inattentive when the line-of-sight correctness determination unit (15, 15a) has determined that the direction of the occupant's line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detection unit (12) is incorrect, even if the inattentiveness provisional determination unit (14) has provisionally determined that the occupant is inattentive downward.
