Abstract:
The present invention relates to an independent brake apparatus for an elevator, comprising: a helical gear that rotates together with a pulley of the elevator; a driven gear that rotates in conjunction with the helical gear; an electronic clutch that controls a connection between the driven gear and a transmission gear; a brake motor, the central shaft of which is rotated by the transmission gear; a plurality of switching means connected to a plurality of winding wires that are stators of the brake motor; and a controller that controls a brake force by supplying an operating pulse to a selected switching means. Therefore, in the case of a breakdown in the elevator, it is possible to stop the elevator at a low speed according to the operating pulse supplied by the controller, thereby protecting human lives.
