Abstract:
An indirect injection internal-combustion engine is provided with a main chamber, an auxiliary chamber, a communication path, and a spark plug. The main chamber is defined by a cylinder, a cylinder head, and a piston. The auxiliary chamber is separated from the main chamber, and has a circular cross-section as viewed in the axial direction of the cylinder. The communication path communicates between the main chamber and the auxiliary chamber. The communication path is formed by being obliquely inclined with respect to the radial direction of the auxiliary chamber as viewed in the axial direction of the cylinder. The spark plug has a first electrode. The first electrode ignites the mixture gas introduced to the auxiliary chamber through the communication path from the main chamber. The center of the first electrode is disposed at a position different from the center of the auxiliary chamber as viewed in the axial direction of the cylinder.
