Abstract:
An induction device according to various embodiments of the present document may comprise: a wireless power transmission circuit; a current sensor; and a processor connected to the wireless power transmission circuit and the current sensor, wherein the processor is configured to: output first power for sensing of an external device through the wireless power transmission circuit; measure a first current flowing through a transmission coil of the wireless power transmission circuit from among the first power output by using the current sensor, so as to identify a first phase of the first current; identify a phase delay value between the first phase of the first current and a second phase of a second current in a state in which an external device is not in proximity; and identify a state in which the external device is in proximity when the identified phase delay value is equal to or greater than a designated threshold value. Other embodiments may also be possible.
