Abstract:
Provided is an industrial antibacterial treatment method, whereby it becomes possible to keep an antibacterial effect for a long period. A reaction product of an ammonium salt with an active chlorine source and sulfamic acid and/or a sulfamic acid salt are added separately to an industrial aqueous system such as paper-making process water in an paper/pulp industry or cooling water for various industrial applications. On this occasion, the amounts of the reaction product and sulfamic acid (and/or a salt thereof) may be, for example, such amounts that the [reaction product (in terms of Cl2 content)]:[sulfamic acid and the salt thereof (total amount)] ratio becomes 5:95 to 95:5 by mole.
