Abstract:
Provided is an information display device that reduces movement of a driver's viewpoint and makes safer operation possible by taking a relationship between vehicle travel velocity and stopping distance into account. This information display device displays video information in a vehicle, wherein a HUD device is disposed between a windshield of the vehicle and an installment panel of the vehicle, the HUD device has a driver viewpoint position detection means that senses the position of the driver's viewpoint and a virtual image optical system that causes a virtual image of the video information to be displayed in front of the vehicle by causing light emitted from the HUD device displaying the video information to be reflected off the windshield, and a display position of the virtual image is set in correspondence with movement of the position of the viewpoint of the driver who drives the vehicle, this position being sensed by the driver viewpoint position detection means.
