Abstract:

At least two types of display media configured as a particle group containing charged particles are sealed between two opposing substrates, at least one of which is transparent. Voltage is applied between opposing pixel electrodes formed by arranging conductive films provided on the respective substrates to oppose to each other so as to drive the display media and display an information image. A series of alternating voltage pulse groups applied when erasing an information image displayed on an information display panel has an OFF time during which the voltage applied upon switching the polarity of each pulse voltage is maintained in the state of 0 volt. This provides an information display panel drive method which can lower the current peak value when executing erase by the alternating voltage, achieve a long service life of a battery when driven by the battery, and prevent voltage drop of the power voltage.
