The purpose of the present invention is to provide an information management device or the like with which surplus charging of a reception-device battery can be suppressed, in examinations using a capsule endoscope. An information management device (30) is provided with: a battery-remaining-capacity acquisition unit (35) for acquiring a current remaining capacity, i.e. a remaining capacity of a battery; a storage unit (33) for storing a required remaining capacity, i.e. a remaining capacity required for the battery to last until examination of planned items is completed; a charging-time calculation unit (34c) which, in cases when the current remaining capacity is less than the required remaining capacity, calculates a charging time required for the remaining capacity of the battery to reach the required remaining capacity from the current remaining capacity; and a controller (36) which, in cases when the current remaining capacity is at least the required remaining capacity, displays, on a display (30a), that a reception device can be used, and which, in cases when the current remaining capacity is less than the required remaining capacity, displays, on the display (30a), information related to the charging time calculated by the charging-time calculation unit (34c).
