Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a technique for enabling the reduction of the possibility that information related to the user of a target terminal is acquired by other persons. [Solution] Provided is an information processing apparatus comprising: an identification information acquisition unit that acquires, from a target terminal, given identification information associated with the IP address of the target terminal; a data acquisition unit that acquires, from a control apparatus of a base station to which the target terminal is connected, the MAC address of the target terminal associated with the IP address of the target terminal; a storage control unit that causes the given identification information and the MAC address of the target terminal to be stored with the former being associated with the latter; and a position information provision unit that, upon the acquisition of position estimation request, which includes the given identification information, from the target terminal, provides, to the target terminal, the position information of the target terminal corresponding to the MAC address of the target terminal associated with the given identification information.
