Abstract:
In order to provide a technology for estimating a position and orientation more consistently, the present invention has: an imaging unit containing a first imaging device and a second imaging device arranged such that at least a portion of the imaging fields of view thereof overlap; an input unit for inputting from the imaging unit a first image obtained by the first imaging device and a second image obtained by the second imaging device; a storage unit for storing a learning model for estimating geometric information represented by the supplied images; a first estimation unit for estimating first provisional geometric information from the first image and the second image; a second estimation unit for estimating second provisional geometric information on the basis of the first image and the learning model stored in the storage unit; a second estimation unit for estimating third provisional geometric information on the basis of the second image and the learning model stored in the storage unit; and a generation unit for generating position/orientation information for the imaging unit and/or geometric information represented by the images captured by the imaging unit, on the basis of the first, second, and third provisional geometric information.
