Abstract:
Provided is an information processing device which processes information for achieving the best gripping operation in accordance with a characteristic of a gripper. This information processing device comprises a gripping information analysis unit which analyzes an object and generates generalized gripping shape information, and a generalized-gripping-shape information accumulation unit which accumulates the generalized gripping shape information. The information processing device further comprises a gripping target planning unit which plans a gripping target of the object on the basis of the generalized gripping shape information on the object and a characteristic of a gripper to be used to grip. The gripping target planning unit plans the gripping target relating to the part of the object to be gripped and the way of the gripping.
