Provided is an information processing device equipped with: a state recognition unit which recognizes the state of a reference device on the basis of device state information associated with the reference device, said reference device serving as a reference when setting a behavior recognition mode for determining a behavioral pattern; and a behavior recognition mode setting unit which, on the basis of the recognized state of the reference device, sets a behavior recognition mode for a target device for which a behavior recognition mode is to be set.
