Abstract:
The present technology relates to an information processing device and method that make it possible to perform selection of a playback file corresponding to playback-side performance. This information processing device generates metadata including information for a plurality of files that include coded data which is obtained by coding image data and being used to control playback of the files, said metadata including information relating to a coding parameter for the files. The present technology can be applied, for example, to an information processing device, image processing device, image coding device, image decoding device or the like.
