Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to an information processing device and method enabling suppression of increase of load of a decoding process of encoded data of a point cloud. Positional information of a point cloud expressing a three-dimensionally shaped object as a set of points is encoded in such an order that the decoded results of encoded data of the positional information are outputted in an order of processing attribute information about the point cloud, and the encoded data are generated. In addition, the encoded data of the positional information of the point cloud expressing a three-dimensionally shaped object as a set of points are decoded, and the decoded results are outputted in an order of processing attribute information about the point cloud. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, an information processing device, an image processing device, an encoding device, a decoding device, an electronic device, an information processing method, or a program.
