Abstract:
When automatically generating an image classification program on the basis of generic programming in order to automatically generate an image classification program capable of accurately classifying images, an image classification device according to the present invention receives an input of an NG region of a training image, and creates NG teaching region data indicating the degree of overlap between the NG region and each of a plurality of divided regions obtained by dividing the training image (ROI). Further, the image classification device transforms the training image using a predetermined image classification program (offspring), calculates the image feature quantity of each of said divided regions from the transformed image, and creates image feature distribution data corresponding to each divided region. The image classification device then calculates the degree of similarity between the NG teaching region data and the image feature distribution data, and uses a result (fitness) from evaluating the image classification program (offspring) on the basis of the degree of similarity, to perform generic programming.
