Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an information processing system and information processing method that allow suitable delivery of advertisements. [Solution] This information processing system is provided with the following: a cookie-setting unit (231) that, in response to a request from a client terminal (400) based on a program contained in page information from an advertising-medium-provision site, makes a browser on said client terminal (400) set a cookie associated with the domain of the advertising-medium-provision site, said cookie containing a user identifier for identifying the user; a cookie-checking unit (232) that uses the aforementioned cookie associated with the domain of the advertising-medium-provision site to obtain browsing information from the browser on the client terminal (400); an SSP unit (210) that receives from the client terminal (400), said client terminal (400) having accessed the advertising-medium-provision site, a notification indicating the presence of an advertisement-display area for the advertising-medium-provision site; and a bidding-determination unit (234) that uses the aforementioned browsing information to determine bidding conditions for the aforementioned advertisement-display area.
