Abstract:
[Problem] To propose an information processing system and a method which make it possible to increase the processing speed of an entire system.
[Solution] Provided is an information processing system in which an instruction given from a client to a first server device is executed by the first server device, or the instruction is transferred to a second server device and executed by the second server device. From each second server device, the first server device collects server related information including processing times and data communication amounts for each combination of types of instructions, being held in the second server device and having been executed in the past, and routes at that time, load information of the second server device, and a communication performance of each of the routes to which the second server device has been connected, predicts processing times for each combination of the types of the instructions and the routes on the basis of the collected server related information of each second server device, and determines, on the basis of a result of the prediction and in consideration of a characteristic of an instruction given from the client, a route for executing the instruction.
