Abstract:
A noncontact IC tag (80) where a secret information set for each of the stages of a life cycle from production to discard is stored and an access device for reading/writing information secretly for each stage from/in the noncontact IC tag are disclosed. A memory unit (216) has stage memory areas the number of which is the same as that of the stages. Each stage memory area is identified by a secret stage identifier. A control unit (209) receives an access identifier secretly from the access device through an antenna unit (201), a switch unit, an impedance changing unit, a demodulating unit (206), and an instruction decoding unit (207), judges whether or not the secretly received access identifier can identify one of the stage memory areas correctly, and receives, if the identifier is judged to correctly identify the area, access information from the access device. An input/output unit (215) makes an access to the stage memory area according to the received access information.
