Abstract:
Provided are an information search device and an information search method which are used for searching content sets classified into categories and can identify a keyword in an object category appearing more frequently than in the other categories. Provided is also a storage medium containing a program. The information search device (1) includes: a content storage unit (10) which stores a plurality of contents classified into a plurality of categories, a plurality of keywords expressing attributes of the respective contents, and categories; a search unit (20) which receives an input of a search keyword and searches for a content having the search keyword; a keyword study unit (31) which extracts a keyword expressing the attribute of the searched content and studies the category to which the extracted keyword belongs; and a keyword ranking unit (32) which adds ranking numbers to the extracted keywords in accordance with the number of categories to which each keyword belongs and the number of contents whose attributes are expressed by the respective keywords.
