Abstract:
Provided are an information storage device which performs high-precision three-dimensional position control by detecting three-dimensional positional information relating to an information recording medium and controlling the position of the information recording medium on the basis of the positional information, and the information recording medium. The information storage device generates two light fluxes from laser light emitted from at least one light source and applies the two light fluxes to approximately the same position of the information recording medium from directions different from each other. The information storage device detects reflected light generated by reflection of the two light fluxes by the information recording medium and calculates positional error information relating to the information recording medium on the basis of a resultant detection signal. The information storage device drives and displaces the position of the information recording medium on the basis of the positional error information to thereby position the information recording medium in a normal position.
