Abstract:

Disclosed is a low-cost infrared reflective black pigment which contains Fe and Mn but does not contain any harmful element. The infrared reflective black pigment has excellent infrared reflective properties. Specifically disclosed is an infrared reflective black pigment which is composed of a compound that contains, in addition to Fe and Mn, one or more elements that are selected from among Mg, Al, Ca, Si, Sr and Ba. The infrared reflective black pigment is characterized by having a degree of blackness (L*) of not more than 30 and a solar reflectance of not less than 15%.
