Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to providing a cytoprotectant and a thermal oxidation inhibitor that protect the skin from infrared damage and heat damage. More particularly, there are provided a cytoprotectant and a thermal oxidation inhibitor that contain, as an active ingredient, at least one substance selected from the group consisting of Rose multiflora fruit extract, Rosa centifolia extract, and hypotaurine. These agents can inhibit the damage to, e.g., the skin, eyes, foods and beverages, and so forth, that is induced by heat or infrared radiation.
