Disclosed is an ink container (10) comprising an ink enclosing portion (11) hermetically containing an ink, an ink injecting portion (12) for introducing the ink held in the ink enclosing portion into a printer, and a cover member (20) for covering the ink injecting portion when the ink container is discarded. The cover member (20) has an ink absorbing member (21).
