Title:
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/148557
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an ink-jet recording apparatus of a photo-setting type, in which the
entire light quantity distribution of an irradiation device having a plurality of
light sources is optimized by a simple device constitution. The ink-jet recording apparatus
(1) comprises a recording head (7) having a nozzle array formed to array a plurality
of nozzles (8) for discharging and impacting photo-setting ink on a recording
medium, in a straight line shape, such that the recording head and the recording
medium scan each other relatively, and an irradiation device (9) arranged on
the downstream side of the recording medium in the scanning direction relative
to the recording head (7), for irradiating the ink having impacted the recording
medium with a light thereby to set the ink. The irradiation device (9) includes
a plurality of UV-LEDs (10), of which the UV-LEDs (10) arrayed in a direction perpendicular
to the nozzle array direction are electrically connected in series, to constitute
LED blocks (11), and a control unit (12) electrically connected with the individual
LED blocks (11), for controlling the individual optical outputs of the LED blocks
(11).
