Abstract:
A de-gassing module (242) is provided on an ink flow channel (24b) for supplying ink that has been heated to a specified temperature from an ink tank (51) to a print head (24a) and comprises therein a hollow fiber membrane capable of passing dissolved gases in the ink. A vacuum pump (249) reduces the pressure inside the de-gassing module (242). A vacuum channel (250) causes dissolved gases removed by the de-gassing module (242) to flow downward. A temperature-detecting unit (253) detects the temperature inside the vacuum channel (250). A control unit detects abnormalities in temperature increases in the vacuum channel (250) on the basis of the detection results of the temperature-detecting unit (253).
