Abstract:
An inner pressure monitor of airway for especially monitoring the inner pressure of the airway of a patient fixed with a respirator, in which the inner pressure of airway can be monitored well regardless of the setting conditions or the monitoring conditions of a monitoring function provided in the respirator. The monitor for monitoring the inner pressure of the airway of a patient fixed with a respirator, comprises means for measuring the pressure of gas, e.g. air, being supplied to the patient from the respirator, and means for making a decision whether a maximum pressure measured by the pressure measuring means falls within a specified allowable range or not, characterized in that an alarm is delivered when the measurement exceeds the allowable range. Upper limit and lower limit of the allowable range can preferably be set automatically based on the average value of a plurality of pressure measurements of respiration gas being supplied to the patient from the respirator, for example.
