Abstract:
An inorganic binder applicable to the field of friction braking materials and a preparation method therefor. The inorganic binder consists of 90 to 95 parts by weight of bauxite and 5 to 10 parts by weight of a foaming agent. The preparation method for the inorganic binder comprises: pulverizing bauxite ores, carrying out magnetic separation, putting into a high-temperature furnace, carrying out primary high-temperature roasting for 30-36 hours while charging carbon monoxide, cooling, screening and carrying out air separation; and adding a foaming agent, uniformly mixing, carrying out secondary high-temperature foaming sintering on the mixture in a high-temperature purification furnace for 6-8 hours while charging nitrogen and hydrogen, cooling, discharging, screening and carrying out air separation to obtain particles with the size of less than -40 meshes, thereby obtaining the inorganic binder with the density of 0.6-1.0 T/m3. The inorganic binder has a coarse, loose, porous and plastic surface, and is beneficial to enhancing the strength and shock resistance of a synthetic friction material; and when in use, the binder does not generate toxic or harmful gas.
