Abstract:
A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide inorganic oxide flakes having excellent resistance to degradation by radiation. In inorganic oxide flakes having SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, and Fe2O3 as main components, inorganic oxide flakes having excellent resistance to degradation by radiation were obtained by setting, in the above inorganic oxide flakes in terms of oxide, i) the total of SiO2 and Al2O3 at 40-70 mass% (inclusive), ii) Al2O3/SiO2 + Al2O3 (mass ratio) in the 0.15-0.40 range, iii) Fe2O3 at 16-25 mass% (inclusive), and iv) CaO at 5-30 mass% (inclusive).
