Abstract:
An input method calling method and a device. In the input method calling method, an electronic device (100) triggers the monitoring of an input device when an input method application is started, and after the input method application receives monitoring callback information, an input method which needs to be called is determined according to the type of an input device that is included in the monitoring callback information. In the input method calling method, the electronic device (100) adaptively provides a more rational input method according to an input mode and the type of an input device, without the need for a user to manually switch the input method, thereby improving the user experience.
