Abstract:
A transformer has a main winding to which a rectified voltage obtained by rectifying an AC voltage is applied and an auxiliary winding generating a voltage having a polarity opposite to that of the voltage generated in the main winding. This integrated circuit drives a transistor for controlling the inductor current flowing through the main winding of the transformer and is provided with: a terminal to which a voltage corresponding to the voltage of the auxiliary winding is applied when the transistor is off; a first detection circuit for detecting, on the basis of the voltage at the terminal when the transistor is off, that the current value of the inductor current is smaller than a first current value; a determination circuit for determining, on the basis of the voltage at the terminal when the transistor is off, whether the AC voltage is a first AC voltage or a second AC voltage having an amplitude larger than that of the first AC voltage; and a drive circuit for driving the transistor on the basis of the detection result of the first detection circuit, the determination result of the determination circuit, and the output voltage generated from the AC voltage.
