Abstract:
An integrated circuit system according to one embodiment is provided with an integrated circuit and a partner device. The integrated circuit has an authentication value for authentication use. The partner device is an authentication partner for the integrated circuit, and has an authentication value distinct from the integrated circuit. In addition, the integrated circuit system has a function which, at power-up time, assesses whether or not the integrated circuit is an unauthorized product according to a predetermined authentication rule related to the authentication value, and halts the integrated circuit if an unauthorized product.
