Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to determine the trust state between devices by one-way communication. This method determines the trust state between a first device (SK) and a second device (SP) on a network: if the first device (SK) has been trusted, the second device (SP) stores a public key of the first device (SK) in a storage means for future use. Thereafter, if the second device (SP) receives data signed by a private key of the first device (SK) and transmitted from said first device (SK) to the network and succeeds in verifying the signature applied to the data with the aforementioned public key, then the second device (SP) determines that the first device (SK) is a trusted device.
