Abstract:
A method of video processing includes determining to use, for a conversion between a current video block of a first component of a video and a bitstream of the video, a prediction of the current video block from a linear combination of samples of a second video block of a second component of the video according to a rule; and performing the conversion based on the determining. The current video block and the second video block are coded using a local illumination compensation tool.
