Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE HEAT GENERATION RATE WAVEFORM CALCULATION DEVICE AND HEAT GENERATION RATE WAVEFORM CALCULATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/162970
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce the number of steps needed to produce a waveform of the heat generation rate of an internal combustion engine, and to make it easier than conventionally possible to estimate and evaluate the first half of the combustion period while maintaining the required accuracy. [Solution] Within the air-fuel mixture combustion period, the period from the self-ignition timing (FA) until the heat generation rate maximum timing (dQpeakA) at which the heat generation rate is maximum is defined as the first half of the combustion period (a), which is one of the characteristic values of a heat generation rate waveform. The first half of the combustion period (a) is estimated on the basis of the cylinder volume at maximum heat generation rate (the cylinder volume at maximum heat generation rate) and with correction by an engine rotation speed exponential function in which a value corresponding to the tumble ratio is the exponent, and a heat generation rate waveform is produced using the estimated first half of the combustion period (a).
